If you have any questions please direct them to your section coach Dear All, Following last weeks Devon Sport Meeting the dates for the forthcoming year have been set, please could you pass them on to the relevant personnel in your clubs. Dates for the Year are as follows: StillWater 5th February - Masters North Devon Leisure Centre 1000hrs-1500hrs 26th February - Nippers North Devon Leisure Centre 1000hrs-1700hrs 12th March - Youth/Open North Devon Leisure Centre 1000hrs-1700hrs Ocean 3rd June - Nippers Saunton Beach 4th June - Youth/Open Saunton Beach 11th June - Masters Saunton Beach Back Up Dates for the Ocean 1st July - Nippers Saunton Beach 8th July - Youth/Open Saunton Beach 9th July - Masters Saunton Beach This year it has been decided to put in place back up dates so that in the event that a competition does not run, competitors will already know when the next date is. Please could you ensure that all your members are informed of all the dates. There has also been a change to the age groups to the Youth/Open sections. After much discussion, it has been decided to trial no longer having an Under 17 and Under 19 age category for Youth, instead the competitors from these age groups will be encouraged to compete in the Open age group. This will hopefully result in a more exciting competition with all those involved learning from each other and enjoying the experience.

After another fantastic season of hard but fun training and even harder racing, the club enjoyed a fantastic celebration at Woolacombes own Red Barn on Friday 18th November
Once stomaches were filled the presentations of awards began, kicking off with sections and finishing with club awards Youth Awards Most Improved: Flo Moore Athletes Choice: Alex Ward Captians Choice: Danny Pirret Coaches Choice: Summer Whiteley Youth Lifesaver Of The Year: Bob Whittaker Senior Awards Most Improved: Danny Roberts Male Lifesaver Of The Year: Scoob Lark Female Lifesaver Of The Year: Summer Whiteley Masters Awards Most Improved: Dan Halsey Master Of The Year: Stuart Sherman Club Awards Young Volunteer Of The Year: Lee Oliver Volunteer Of The Year: Mick Cook Community Cup: David Liversedge McHugh Cup: Dan Halsey Club Person Of The Year: Charlie Easy Post awards the clubs newly appointed Chair Annette Deasy thanked everybody for coming together to celebrate and spoke of her ambition to carry on growing the club in numbers, in producing fantastic results in competition and of course producing Lifesavers The committee would like to thank Angus for once again hosting us and delivering a choice of tasty Curries and awesome live music |
